I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT); I began my work in the mental health field in 2016 and have extensive experience in the treatment of eating disorders. I worked as a primary therapist in residential and intensive outpatient care for adults and adolescents struggling with eating disorders and other co-occurring disorders. I also work with clients who struggle with low self-esteem, relationship issues, high sensitivity, trauma and difficult life transitions. I help clients learn to practice healthy approaches to asserting themselves and setting boundaries when necessary. I work collaboratively with clients using strength-based psychotherapy to address the ways in which their emotional, mental and physical well-being are interconnected. During therapy sessions I’m actively engaged-questioning from a curious place in order to better understand the client's individualized experience. I challenge the client’s destructive, isolative behaviors and negative thoughts & belief systems surrounding their body, food, weight and self-esteem. I am passionate about exploring issues where clients feel stuck and provide new ways for them to move through their discomfort. My clinical approach is flexible based on the unique needs of each client. I view each client as an individual and not as just a person presenting their problems or a diagnosis. I encourage self-care as slowing down the thoughts racing through our minds can often be the result of a very busy and chaotic life. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, yoga, movement and spending time with my dog. I believe that my family and friends, as well as laughter and the passion I have for my work are the key elements that help me feel fulfilled in my life.

““ Each person is a unique individual. Hence, psychotherapy should be formulated to meet the uniqueness of the individual’s needs, rather than tailoring the person to fit the Procrustean of a hypothetical theory oh human behavior.””
