Infertility Support
Infertility is not an inconvenience, it is a disease of the reproductive system that impairs the body’s ability to perform the basic function of reproduction. 1 out of 6 couples struggle with infertility, affecting both men and women equally.
Infertility counseling is an important resource that will help you by providing you with the tools you need to navigate the emotions that come up along the way so you can thoughtfully explore the options to grow the family that is right for you. I work with individuals on the journey towards parenthood; coping with the feelings of anxiety, fear, disappointment, isolation and grief that can arise when struggling to build a family.
Depression and Anxiety
Anxiety and depression at times may feel overly debilitating. Fear, when it has you in its grips, takes over your sense of self. Often you are left in fight, flight or freeze response unable to engage with your thinking mind (or completely stuck in ruminating thoughts). Leaving you with a sense of immobility (or "stuckness"), it is hard to do the very thing which may bring you support, reaching out for help. Understanding this, I work at meeting you where you are and supporting you in increasing your window of tolerance to staying present, connected and engaged with life.
